The CASE Score compares degrees across universities and subject areas. It takes into account the relative position of your GPA in the local grade distribution as well as the competitiveness of your study programmes. The CASE Score is based on official grade distribution data as well as IQ and personality test results from over 340.000 students.

The CASE Score is based on (anonymised) grade distributions obtained directly from the universities. Naturally, all data protection regulations are fully complied with. Consequently, your CASE Score is not affected by how many certificates have already been issued for certain degree programmes at a university. These results are forgery-proof and are determined by means of real-time queries to our database.

As a further component, CASE Score uses IQ and personality test results from Germany 's largest study survey Fachkraft 2030 (in cooperation with Maastricht University and Jobvalley) with more than 340,000 students.

You can use your CASE certificate for numerous purposes. The certificate helps you to better assess your final grade. You can see your academic performance in comparison with all students, both locally and nationally (depending on the certificate). For example, you will benefit particularly if your university evaluates you strictly and you study with strong fellow students.

You can also enclose the certificate with your application so that recruiters can assess your academic performance more objectively.

A good certificate improves your self-awareness, by evaluating your performance fairly and giving you an estimate of our potential. You can be a high-flyer even with a low GPA 😉

To update the information on your certificate, simply send us your premium certificate together with your updated GPA or your new degree (e.g. Master) to update@candidate-select.de. We will send you the updated certificate by email.

There are over 28.000 universities and technical colleges worldwide. These differ in various ways, by how strict they grade and how they are rated. A degree awarded with an average GPA (in absolute terms) can be good or bad depending on the university it is from.

With a grade of 2.0 (German Grade System), in the case on top, one is among the top 10% of all students in Germany, relatively speaking, and in the case on the bottom, only among the top 96%. CASE combines this information with the competitiveness of a study programme.

The Base Certificate helps you to better assess your own Bachelor's or Master's degree. It sets your personal GPA in relation to that of your direct peers. In this way you know exactly whether you are one of the best graduates in your subject at your university. You can have the Base Certificate issued for a total of three of your degrees.

The Standard Certificate is expanded to include the CASE subject score, which compares you with all students acrros universities within your field of study.

In addition to what is found on the other two certificates, the Premium Certificate also compares your degree with all other types of universty degrees, including ones awarded in other fields.

1. Post your certificate

   To post your certificate, go to your homepage and create a post. On LinkedIn you can upload your certificate via "share documents" as a PDF. You can get creative with your post, you should only include a link to the CASE website so that companies can validate the information. For example, you could post:

   Top X% - I have just received a CASE certificate and am one of the best X% of my year (direct comparison of grades - Base) / my subject (Subject Score - Standard) / of all students (CASE Score - Premium). 2. Highlight your certificate on LinkedIn

   Go to "add Profile Area" - featured on your profile. Here you can highlight your post or upload your certificate directly to your profile as a media file.
